CPTEI'm facing the greatest challenge of my term: Dan Kersch

RTL Today
The Permanent Work and Employment Committee (CPTE) came together for a meeting on Monday morning.

The Minister of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy Dan Kersch met with both employer and union representatives to discuss future prospects. The central topics of discussion included interim employment, job safety, and redundancy programmes.

Each member of the Permanent Work and Employment Committee handed in their respective proposals during the meeting. Although no exact details have been published yet, opinions appear to have significantly diverged.

After the meeting, minister Kersch noted that he was currently facing the greatest challenge since taking office. He explained that he had to withdraw a compromise proposal after neither unions nor employers liked the idea. Nevertheless, Kersch also stated that in some areas, such as traineeships, parties were able to agree.
