The event, which is organised by the municipality of Luxembourg City, will take place at 12pm on 25 November. People are invited to join in protest and help the human chain grow in size and visibility.

A number of buildings in the capital will be illuminated in orange colour during the awareness week. A film and discussion evening will also take place at the ‘Cinémathéik’ film archive on 5 December. Nahid Persson’s film Be My Voice will be shown, which traces the life of feminist Masih Alinejad, who advocated against the mandatory wearing of headscarfs in Iran.

Further events connected to the Orange Week will be organised by the National Council of Luxembourgish Women and the ‘LËT’Z SAY NO’ charity organisation.
