If you are yet to set off this morning, it may be better to avoid the A1 motorway.
According to ACL updates the busy stretch of motorway has been at at a standstill between Kirchberg and the Crox de Gasperich (in the direction Treves-Luxembourg).
A van broke down at the exit of the Howald tunnel, causing the blockage of one of the two lanes. There were more than nine
kilometers of traffic jams reported as of 8 o'clock this morning.
Images from motorway surveillance cameras detail a long line of stationary vehicles, snaking back as far as Kirchberg, as well as on the interchange with the A7.
