
The fire erupted in rue Jérôme de Busleyden. Fifty firemen from six departments were called to the scene to monitor and extinguish the flames.
According to RTL sources, nobody was injured. However, the CR309 needed to be closed for the time being so that emergency services could operate.


The police then reports that they conducted speed controls on the A7 motorway on Sunday night. Two drivers stood out by significantly breaking the maximum temp limit: 165 km/h in a 90 zone, and 175 km/h in the second case. One of both drivers also had too much to drink. In both cases, the licenses were revoked at the scene.
Earlier on Sunday evening, a collision occurred in route de Thionville. A drunk driver crashed into a light pole and tried to flee the scene. He was however stopped by the police soon after, and subsequently lost his license.
In Remich, two vehicles collided around 7 pm near the local miniature gold park. Two stationed cars were damaged as a result, although nobody suffered any injuries. There was alcohol involved in this case as well, but only a provisional driving ban and a fine were awarded.
