On Tuesday night at around 10:15PM a driver smashed into a parked car on rue de Lasauvage in Differdange and fled the scene.

The driver did not stop to assess and report the damage but drove away. Shortly after the hit and run, a dark VW Polo and a dark BMW, possibly an X5 or X6, were spotted at the scene.

Roughly one hour later a similar incident occurred in Niederkorn on rue de Käerjeng. However, the four people in the car that caused the crash fled the scene on foot. Police found the owner of the car at their home. An investigation is ongoing.

On the same day, a man was spotted driving dangerously on the A7 towards the North at around 9PM. Shortly after, he smashed into the crash barriers on the bridge before Ettelbruck, which rendered his car undriveable.

When members of Ponts et Chaussées approached the man he insulted them. Police officers who arrived on the scene detected that the driver had had too much to drink. His driving license was seized on the spot.

At the same time, the man was being examined by first responders. The man then attacked his helpers, including one police officer. As a result, he was taken into custody and spent the night at the police station. A complaint has been filed against him for civil disorder.

Lastly, an accident occurred on Wednesday morning at 7:25AM between Schumannseck and Pommerloch, which involved a lorry and a car. One person was injured. Fire fighters from the Upper Sûre Lake and Wiltz were called to the scene.
