At 5.50am on Friday, the pedestrian was struck at the crossroads of Route d’Ettelbruck and Rue de l’Industrie near a car repair shop. The incident took place when the pedestrian attempted to cross the street.
The driver of the vehicle allegedly drove in direction of Angeldorf, without first checking on the wellbeing of the person who had been hit.
The car being driven was a black or grey limousine.
The driver of the car, or witnesses of the incident, are now urged to contact the police in Diekirch/Vianden.
