Witness AppealHit-and-run driver causes accident in Schwebsange

The police are seeking witnesses following a hit-and-run incident that occurred near the camping site in Schwebsange on Wednesday, shortly after noon.

According to preliminary information, the accident took place when a driver, towing a trailer, attempted to overtake a turning lorry at high speed.

In the process, the car collided with an oncoming vehicle. The driver responsible for the collision failed to stop and fled the scene, leaving the victim to deal with the aftermath.

In an effort to gather more information and bring the responsible party to justice, the police are specifically interested in locating two cyclists who witnessed the incident.

These individuals provided valuable details to the victim in the second vehicle, who promptly filed a complaint. Their eyewitness accounts include information about the direction in which the at-fault driver fled from the scene.

The two cyclists as well as any other potential witnesses are asked to contact the Dudelange Police, either by calling 244 69 1000 or by writing an e-mail to Police.DUDELANGE@police.etat.lu
