Earlier in the day, RTL reported that former Vice Prime Minister François Bausch will also participate in the European elections, a prominent support for lead candidate Tilly Metz. Speaking in an interview with Radio 100,7, Bausch clarified that he would not be contesting as the second lead candidate.
Assuming the role of the second lead candidate is Fabricio Costa, spokesperson for the Young Greens. Joining them are former MPs Djuna Bernard and Chantal Gary, along with Patrick Hurst, a teacher and President of the Centre for Equal Treatment.

All candidates must still receive approval from the Green Party Congress on 16 March.
Should François Bausch secure election to the European Parliament, Djuna Bernard would return to the Chamber of Deputies. Bernard, who serves as Co-Party President, ranked third on the list in the Centre constituency during the 2023 elections but failed to secure a parliamentary seat.
