On Friday, Sam Tanson spoke to the press about the current challenges Europe is facing. The Déi Gréng spokeswoman stated that the political suggestions for the support of Ukraine and the security of Europe needed to be fair, courageous, and sustainable.

On Tuesday, PM Luc Frieden had announced in the Chamber that he intended to exchange opinions about national and international safety policy with all parties. Prompted by that context, the Green Party presented a number of proposals.

According to Déi Gréng, the CSV-DP government should actively promote the use of frozen Russian state assets to help support Ukraine. Another request reinforced that the financial needs of the defence system must not overshadow other challenges, which include investing into infrastructure, healthcare and climate protection.
