All 12 police stations around the country will be operational throughout the night of 31 December to 1 January.
In a press release, the police called for mutual respect between those who celebrate and those who choose not to. They also reiterated that drinking and driving endangers the lives of others and is forbidden.
Those out partying should keep an eye on belongings and bags, as pickpockets like to be active in busy crowds. The authorities also underlined the importance of keeping drinks close by to avoid spiking.
Any suspicious people or objects should be reported via the emergency number 113.
