The LCTO deemed the tours a "dazzling success" and cited them as a high point of the "Summer in the City" summer programme.
From 14 July to 1 September, 3,266 tourists participated in 333 guided tours of the Grand Ducal residence.
Seven guided tours were staged on a daily basis, offering the tour in Luxembourg's four key languages (Luxembourgish, French, German and English). The LCTO said there was a 98% booking rate, showing great public interest in the exclusive tour, which lasts around 75 minutes.
For people who cannot visit in person, the LCTO website luxembourg-city.com offers the opportunity to take a virtual tour, with 3D views of the Grand Ducal Palace.

Overall, the LCTO said it had been an encouraging assessment of the summer season, in spite of the pandemic and subsequent restrictions, as it registered a high number of visitors to the tourist information office during the month of August.
11,350 people visited the tourist office in August 2021, representing a 73% increase compared to the same month last year, in which 6,566 visitors were reported. Although it is still a long way from the attendance peaks of pre-Covid years, the tourist office expressed relief at the slight recovery in Luxembourg tourism.
The majority of visitors hailed from neighbouring or close-by countries, such as the Netherlands.
