A technical problem affecting the state's external websites was detected shortly after 9 am on Wednesday, the Luxembourg government's IT service confirmed to RTL following an inquiry.
The cause was a technical issue in the communication between the state's IT network and the internet. At present, there is no indication of a cyberattack.
Work is underway to resolve the issue, which has already been partially fixed. As of 11.35am, guichet.lu was accessible again.
