The festival of entrepreneurs, as organised by the federation of construction companies and civil engineers, invited Bausch to the annual meeting on Wednesday. At the meeting, Bausch highlighted the government's aim in terms of public infrastructure: build more and build quicker.
In that spirit, the ministry is planning and enacting large infrastructure projects, investing up to €2.2 billion into the railways alone by 2023. Bausch named works on the Boulevard de Merl and the Cessange interchange as absolute priorities.
Other projects considered to be at the top of the ministry's list are the works on the Dudelange motorway, which will be expanded to have three lanes on each side as well as bus works and car-sharing. The government also plans to optimise the A13 motorway.
