The foundation “Maison de la Porte Ouverte” helped launch the digital initiative. Domestic violence rarely starts out with physical attacks, but often moves as a slow-moving threat that becomes increasingly violent. The questionnaire has therefore been designed to help victims recognise the state of their relationships or domestic lives.

Minister of Equality between Women and Men Taina Bofferding commented on the project: “Even if it is just a strange gut feeling, it is important to assess the problems occurring in our homes.” Other officials at the presentation also underlined the importance of reacting as early as possible.
Maurice Bauer, president of the foundation “Maison de la Porte Ouverte”, also underlined: “It already takes a lot of strength for people to recognise a real issue in their homes and come to us for help. Luckily, the digital tool will make it easier for people to make that important first step.”
Aside from consultation points, which the digital tool presents at the end of the questionnaire, one can also find other useful contacts by using the digital helper, including the following helpline: 2060 1060.
