As part of the public celebration of the Grand Duke’s birthday, Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, Archbishop of Luxembourg, invites the population to take part in the solemn Te Deum at Notre-Dame Cathedral. The service will take place on National Day, Friday 23 June 2023, at 4.30pm.
For organisational reasons, the church asks that attendants be seated in the cathedral between 3.30pm and 4pm at the latest. Entry is limited to the entrance in Rue Notre-Dame.
As every year, the Centre of Animation and Recreation (CAPEL) organises its traditional play festival between 10am and 6pm at Kinnekswiss. Participation is free for both children and adults.
As part of the National Day celebrations, the municipality of Luxembourg City is also bringing back a series of open-air concerts at Glacis with international and many local talents.
