
The police were alerted to a driver behaving erratically in a car park in Dudelange at around 7pm. The man refused to cooperate with officers initially, while a subsequent breathalyser check showed he was well over the legal alcohol limit. As if this were not enough, it transpired he was also in violation of a driving ban until March 2024. The public prosecutor’s office ordered that the vehicle be confiscated.
Elsewhere, a motorist was spotted zigzagging along the A7 motorway at around 1am on Christmas morning. Police eventually caught up with the driver on the N8 between Reckange and Mersch, where it was confirmed that the individual was intoxicated.
A vehicle came off the road between Boevange-sur-Attert and Grevenknapp at 2am after the driver had too much to drink. Police confiscated the individual’s licence following a positive alcohol test.
Earlier on Saturday, police confirmed a fourth driver had lost their licence due to excessive alcohol at the wheel. On this occasion, officers issued a driving ban.
