In Esch-sur-Alzette, while securing an accident that took place earlier in Rue d’Audun, a police patrol noticed a motorist driving too fast. The car tried to skirt past the police van despite being told to stop. Eventually the car stopped and after a quick inspection, the motorist appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The police confirmed their suspicions through a breathalyser test and revoked the person’s licence.

Later in the night, the police was notified of a van swerving heavily on the A4 motorway. Shortly after, the police managed to stop the vehicle. After a positive breathalyser test, the police revoked the motorist’s licence.

Further into Sunday night on the A6 motorway near Hagen, a badly damaged vehicle was reported to the police. A patrol was sent to secure the vehicle. Indeed, the vehicle was damaged and the airbags had been released. The police noted a strong alcoholic scent on the driver. After a positive breathalyser test, the police revoked the person’s licence.

The last incident unfolded in Niederkorn, where a driver reportedly drove too fast across a roundabout on Rue des Ecoles in the direction Rue Pierre Gansen. When the driver hit the border of the pavement, the police signalled the driver to stop. The driver ignored the police’s demands but was eventually stopped near Schéiferwée. After a positive breathalyser test, the driver was fined due to speeding, and a provisional driving ban was issued.
