
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) responded to three traffic accidents on Monday, leaving four people injured, as well as several fires that caused no casualties.
The first accident occurred shortly before 11.30am on "Am Schlass" street in Urspelt, where a car crashed into a tree. Firefighters and paramedics from Clervaux attended to one injured person at the scene.
At around 2pm, a car ended up in a ditch on the CR130 between Altlinster and Burglinster, resulting in two people sustaining injuries.
Later, at approximately 4.26pm, a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Rue de Belval in Esch-sur-Alzette left one further person injured.
In addition to the accidents, firefighters also dealt with several fires on Monday, none of which resulted in injuries. Incidents were reported in Dudelange, where a cellar fire broke out on Rue de Lauenburg; in Bonnevoie, where rubbish caught fire; in Esch-sur-Alzette, where a bin was set alight; and in Hamm, where a car caught fire on Rue de Bitburg at around 4.30pm.
