A collision took place on the A1 motorway towards Trier, with four cars implicated in a crash between the Howald tunnel and the Sandweiler/Hamm exit.
Four cars were involved in the collision just before 5pm. All four vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder, but traffic had built up in both directions on the A1 as a result of the crash.
