Luxembourg police reported two notable incidents on Sunday, including a thwarted burglary in Pétange where officers apprehended five suspects on-site.

The first occurred on Sunday morning on Route de Longwy in Pétange. A patrol discovered a smashed window at a single-family home and, upon investigation, found five individuals inside the property. A search of the suspects revealed stolen items, pepper spray, and a knife. All five were taken into custody, a report was filed, and the stolen goods were returned to their owner.

Later on Sunday afternoon, a mugging took place in the Bonnevoie neighbourhood of Luxembourg City. Two unknown assailants pushed and robbed two victims. Although the attackers failed to steal one victim’s mobile phone, they escaped with an unspecified amount of cash. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
