'Minett Unesco Biosphere'First study to be launched in the Grand Duchy's southern region

The Minett region received the Unesco label three weeks ago.

The local study, which will be conducted by the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER), will be the first project undertaken in the context of the Unesco status, which promotes "the conservation of biodiversity and sustainable development through citizen participation, education and research."

Link: minett-biosphere.comThe project is being organised by the respective municipalities and aims at studying the sale of local produce. A total of 10,000 households will be questioned from mid November until mid December regarding their grocery habits and tendency to buy locally grown food. The results will later be used to design an action initiative for the year 2021.
