
Unemployment recorded a slight uptick last month, with the increase mainly concerning people under the age of 30.
New ADEM registrations went up by 13% last month. Thus far, unemployment has however remained stable at 4.9%, identical to last month. A year-on-year comparison further shows that fewer people were looking for employment in October.
3,284 new jobs were declared at the ADEM last month, down by 16% compared to October 2021. Though not considered a general trend, the decline was most evident in the sectors of construction, hospitality, and temporary workforce.
