
A fire broke out shortly after 8am in the industrial zone of Rodange, near Lamadelaine, as reported by the police. The incident occurred in the production hall of a packaging factory, where a machine caught fire.
Emergency services confirmed that no injuries were reported. The CGDIS (Grand-Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps) stated that the fire was brought under control within an hour. Fans were deployed to ventilate the building and clear the smoke.
During the firefighting operation, authorities advised avoiding the N31 in the Käerjeng/Pétange area and the N830 heading towards the Belgian border.
Firefighters from Esch/Alzette, Pétange, and Luxembourg City, along with teams from Sanem-Differdange (Sadiff), responded to the incident. The operation involved significant resources but was efficiently managed, minimising disruption and ensuring safety.
