PRIMe HouseFinancial aid for energy renovation extended until the end of 2021

The decision was taken by the state council.

Four types of investments are targeted:

• the construction of new sustainable housing, for which a building permit must be applied for prior to December 31 and for which the construction site must be completed prior to the end of 2024;

• sustainable energy renovation, for which an application for an agreement in principle must be submitted prior to 31 December 2021. The 50% bonus under the "Neistart Lëtzebuerg" programme will apply to construction work completed prior to 31 December 2023;

• solar thermal systems, heat pumps, wood boilers, and connections to a heating network, which must be ordered prior to 31 December 2021. The 25% bonus under the "Neistart Lëtzebuerg" programme will apply to investments made prior to 31 December 2023;

• photovoltaic solar installations, which must be invoiced prior 31 December 2021.

After the expiry of this financial aid, i.e. after 1 January 2022, a new subsidy scheme will be put in place.
