PRIMe HouseFinancial aid for energy renovation extended until the end of 2021
The "PRIMe House" financial aid scheme for the promotion of sustainability, rational use of energy, and renewable energies in the field of housing will be extended until 31 December 2021.
The decision was taken by the state council.
Four types of investments are targeted:
- the construction of new sustainable housing, for which a building permit must be applied for prior to December 31 and for which the construction site must be completed prior to the end of 2024;
- sustainable energy renovation, for which an application for an agreement in principle must be submitted prior to 31 December 2021. The 50% bonus under the "Neistart Lëtzebuerg" programme will apply to construction work completed prior to 31 December 2023;
- solar thermal systems, heat pumps, wood boilers, and connections to a heating network, which must be ordered prior to 31 December 2021. The 25% bonus under the "Neistart Lëtzebuerg" programme will apply to investments made prior to 31 December 2023;
- photovoltaic solar installations, which must be invoiced prior 31 December 2021.

After the expiry of this financial aid, i.e. after 1 January 2022, a new subsidy scheme will be put in place.
