LuxexpoFestival of Migrations celebrates Luxembourg's cultural diversity at its 41st edition
This weekend, Luxexpo is hosting the 41st edition of the Festival of Migrations, Cultures and Nationalities. The doors will be open on Sunday from noon until 8 pm, and admission is free.
The festival of migrations, cultures and nationalities showcases the diversity Luxembourgish residents experience on an everyday basis. What started out as a small festival has developed into a huge festival with over 400 stands and all nationalities.
The first waves of migrants mainly included Italians, Spaniards, Portuguese and Cape Verdeans. However, in recent years many new organisations have been formed for people who have had to leave their country because of war, hunger and poverty. From Syria, Iran, Ukraine or Afghanistan, to name a few.
