The information was confirmed to RTL by Goodyear Luxembourg's communications manager, Alexander Verstappen.
Verstappen also confirmed that production at the factory had been shut down and that it would remain so until the circumstances of the tragedy were determined. He wished to share his sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the victim.
An investigation has been opened. More details are expected later today.
