In what appears to be one of the latest online scams in Luxembourg, images of Agriculture Minister Martine Hansen have been misappropriated and circulated on Facebook in an effort to collect donations for a fraudulent organisation. The politician of the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV) has already come out to denounce the scam, underlining that she has nothing to do with the fake foundation that promises to help orphans, women, and people with disabilities.
Similarly, Hansen says the images of her were taken out of context and denies knowing Tatjana B., the alleged leader of the organisation. Complaints have in the meantime been filed with the prosecutor’s office, Facebook, and online protection programme Bee Secure.
