A user who called for the extermination of the LGBTQI+ community under ADR MP Tom Weidig's Facebook post has been fined €1,500

The Public Prosecutor's Office has announced that the author of the Facebook comment "We must also fight here and exterminate LGBTQ" has been convicted of inciting hatred and fined €1,500.

The comment was posted on 8 February 2025 in response to a Facebook post by The Alternative Democratic Reform Party (ADR) MP Tom Weidig regarding the participation of transgender women in women's sports.

The author was convicted on 17 June 2026 and ordered to pay the fine. They were also required to pay symbolic damages of €25 to Rosa Lëtzebuerg.

Individuals who had liked the comment and were identified by the authorities received written warnings from the Public Prosecutor's Office.
