Guardian LuxguardEmployment preservation plan replaces redundancy programme

OGBL published a press release on Monday, announcing that an agreement between union, Board of Directors, and personnel representatives was finally found.

No employees will be let go and so no strike will have to be organised, OGBL states in its press release.

The Board of Directors has agreed to not initiate redundancies for four months while the company seeks a viable solution for the 37 workers in question.

It was also decided that nobody above the age of 52 will be let go, and that those who still prefer to leave will be financially compensated.

Back in August, Guardian Luxguard announced plans for a redundancy programme, which would have affected 200 of their employees. OGBL is now happy to announce that this decision could be reversed and turned into an employment preservation programme. The union also managed to block another such attempt in October.
