
A Dutch motorcyclist, who was travelling as part of a group, had crashed. The 51-year-old woman “succumbed to her serious injuries”.
The forensic police were despatched to the site and an autopsy was ordered to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The N12 was closed to traffic.
This is the second fatal accident involving a motorcyclist within two days. As recently as Wednesday afternoon a 16-year-old motorcyclist lost his life after colliding with a lorry on the CR129 between Heffingen and Godbrange.
At around 1.11pm on Thursday, two cars collided on the N12 towards Bridel. Two people were injured.
A similar accident occurred on Route de Luxembourg near Kockelscheuer at around 4.11pm. A collision between two cars left one person injured.
A motorcyclist crashed on the N18 towards Lentzweiler at around 4.32pm. The motorist was injured.
