On Monday evening, several bicycles were stolen from the basement of a building on Rue de l’Alzette in Esch. The investigation led to the recovery of the stolen bikes and the identification of a suspect.

Early this morning, shortly after 3am, police responded to a report of a break-in at a shop in Pétange. Officers found a man asleep at the scene. He claimed he had been attacked and injured by an unknown person in central Pétange and had not broken into the shop to steal anything. The police took the man to A&E for treatment. Due to his heavily inebriated state, he spent the night in a holding cell.

A little later, around 4.30am, another burglary was reported in Pétange. Two criminals entered a premises, searched cupboards and boxes, and stole cash before fleeing towards Rue de l’Ecole. The suspects were described as wearing dark clothing and carrying backpacks.

All three cases are currently under investigation.
