The police were called to resolve a dispute on rue de Limpach in Soleuvre at around 5.30 am on Wednesday. The dispute was a disagreement between a resident and two guests who had had a bit too much to drink.
The dispute quickly escalated and continued outside when the police arrived. Given the two visitors had come by car, the driver - who also seems to have provoked the fight between the three people - was required to take a breathalyser test. The test returned a positive result.

The man became increasingly aggressive after his drivers’ license was revoked and went so far as to shove one of the officers. As he did not calm down and continued to threaten the officers, they saw no choice but to immobilise him. A knife was found on the individual and seized in the process.

The man was placed in a drunk tank and a complaint was filed against him.
