Police officers briefly lost sight of the car, but were able to catch up in rue de Hollerich. They followed the driver and were able to stop the car on the motorway intersection near Briddel.

Since the alcohol flash test came back positive, the driver's license was revoked. Additionally, all five people in the car were fined €300 each for breaking the curfew.
