On Sunday afternoon, the police arrested a presumed drug dealer who was carrying several pellets of cocaine and heroin in Bonnevoie.

The police officers had spotted the man near a charity institution on Route de Thionville. While searching the man, the police also found opioid pills, a large amount of cash, a knife, and various drug paraphernalia.

The police later searched the suspect’s flat, seizing over 100 grammes of heroin and over 300 opioid pills. The man was arrested and presented to an examining magistrate.

Several burglaries reported in recent days

Between 21 and 27 December, a house in Rue Charles Frédéric Mersch in Bissen was broken into. The intruders gained access to the building through a window and stole various valuables.

Another burglary took place between 23 and 28 December in Rue de Schiltzberg in Godbringen.

Between 3am and 11am on Tuesday, a burglar broke into a house in Rue Renert in Sanem. The culprit had forced open the door to the terrace and smashed in a door window. The thief searched all rooms took several valuables.

On 27 December, a thief broke into a house in Rue Marcel Reuland in Kirchberg/Luxembourg City, forcing open a window at the back of the house. The burglar stole several pieces of jewellery.

During the night between 27 and 28 December, unknown individuals broke into a house in Rue d’Ettelbrück in Moesdorf while the inhabitants were sleeping. The criminals got in through an open window and were able to sneak away with some stolen goods.

On 28 December, the police received a report of a burglary that had occurred in Rue Syrdall in Manternach. The perpetrators had forced open the door on the terrace to gain access to the house’s interior.
