
Despite heavy rainfall, during which the maximum speed is reduced to 110 km/h on motorways, the woman in question was observed driving between 150 and 190 km/h. She was finally stopped near Flaxweiler and subjected to a drug test, which came back positive. Officers also found minor amounts of cannabis in the car. The woman received a fine.
In other traffic reports, before 4pm on Monday, two cars collided on the CR145 between Scheierhaff and Greiveldange. One of the drivers failed to respect the right of way, thus crashing into another car. The woman in latter vehicle suffered injuries and was brought to a hospital. Both drivers tested negative for alcohol, but the person responsible for the accident tested positive for drugs. The police subsequently found 75 grams of cannabis in his car and awarded him a fine.
Shortly thereafter, a police patrol on the CR160 discovered a car at the side of the road, which had been involved in an accident. The driver was brought to a hospital. As his alcohol test came back positive, his license was revoked and he received a fine.
