On Saturday, the police spotted a car with a French license plate and a flat tyre on the A4 around Foetz. The control revealed issues with his legal documents.

The police report that there were three people in the car, though upon inspection they concluded that the driver neither possessed a valid identification document nor a valid technical control license for his vehicle. Moreover, a driving ban seems to be in force against him in France, and his residence permit had recently expired.

No issues were found with the passenger’s documents, though the third person did not have a valid residence permit either.

The three people were taken to the police station in Esch-sur-Alzette. The Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered the seizure of the vehicle, and further investigations have been launched.
