A driver at the wheel of a van was surprised by a falling tree on the CR349 between Warken and Welscheid, just outside of Ettelbruck, on Tuesday morning. According to preliminary information, the driver tried to avoid the obstacle, but ultimately failed. Although he escaped without injury, the car suffered extensive damage.
The road was closed in order to cut down the tree and clear the road.
