During a traffic control operation on the A13 motorway on Wednesday, police measured the speed of a driver travelling at 224km/h. However, the speed limit on that particular stretch is just 110km/h.
A police patrol subsequently pursued the driver. He was stopped a short time later and removed from traffic.
The driver had his licence confiscated immediately and was reported by the officers.
