Upon arriving at the scene, emergency services discovered a drinks booth alight in a park, where a number of stands had been set up ahead of a beer festival this weekend organised by the Diekirch Municipal Philharmonie.
The booth was virtually destroyed by the fire. The matter was reported to the public prosecutor’s office as investigators have not yet ruled out arson.
