In the late afternoon on Saturday, police were alerted to a car which had crashed into the guard rail in Wasserbillig. A police patrol discovered the car still in the same spot, and after some investigating the driver was caught later on. They had drunk alcohol, confirmed by a breath test, which also meant they had their driver’s license confiscated.
As the night continued, another patrol noticed a car in Rue Jean Jaurès in Dudelange. The driver had taken the police’s right of way before then accelerating quickly. The vehicle was stopped in Beetebuerger Strooss. Another alcohol test came back positive, so the man was given a provisional driving ban as a consequence.
