Police in Esch-sur-Alzette had just secured the perimeter around a car that crashed near midnight on Saturday when another car suddenly came speeding up to the scene. Although flashing lights made the location of the accident clearly visible from a distance, the car in question drove strait through the middle of the road and eventually hit the police vehicle.

The driver tested positive for alcohol, which is why officers revoked his license and issued a fine.

In both accidents, only material damage occurred.
