According to a police bulletin, officers initially encountered two inebriated individuals near the intersection of Avenue de la Liberté and Rue Alexandre in Differdange on Monday evening. One of them was observed urinating in public.
As officers attended to these individuals, a driver attempting to exit a parking space collided with a parked vehicle. Upon inspection, it was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Both the driver and one of the passengers failed to cooperate with the police, resulting in the issuing of fines — specifically for the crime of insulting civil servants. Despite this, the passenger persisted in uncooperative behaviour and was subsequently detained overnight following a medical assessment. Meanwhile, due to the driver’s high level of intoxication, their driving licence was revoked.
