
A patrol on Montée de Clausen observed a road user whose reckless behaviour nearly led to a collision. Consequently, the officers made the decision to stop the vehicle and check the driver. A prompt test confirmed their suspicions of intoxication, resulting in the immediate revocation of the driver’s licence.
The driver responded to the penalty by flipping off the officers, who consequently issued an additional penalty notice, this time for the act of libelling officials.
At around 2.30am, a police patrol was despatched after witnesses had reported a car driving in serpentines down Boulevard de Kockelscheuer. The police found the man, who had trouble speaking, in a car park. He was asked to take a breathalyser test, which came back positive. The officers issued a temporary driving ban.
At around the same time, a police patrol in Merl caught a man urinating against a car. The officers discovered a beer can on the roof of the car and eyewitness reports confirmed that the man had been driving shortly before.
Besides his alcohol level, which was two times the legal limit, the man was also already subject to a driving ban. In addition, the car turned out to belong to his girlfriend. Due to the high alcohol level, the police reported the incident to the public prosecutor’s office.
At around 2.30am, a driver in Rue de Mersch headed straight for the site of an accident and only noticed the police officers at the last second. The driver was checked and her driving licence was revoked after she turned out to be inebriated.
