Fortunately, the dog was uninjured after its fall was halted by some bushes. However, the animal was trapped at a great height and could not escape without assistance.
The CGDIS therefore deployed its hazardous environment search and rescue team (GRIMP) to abseil down the hillside and safely return the dog to its owner.
