Déi Lénk presented their election programme and their main priorities for Luxembourg City on Friday morning, with the slogan “Solidarity”.
Top of their list was housing, with plans to build 5,000 public rental units in the city over the next 6 years. Other topics were addressed such as traffic, with plans to implement 30km speed limits in the city centre, and environment, with ambitions to plant 10,000 trees. The Left placed importance on social and ecological measures, saying one would not work without the other. The party also plans to implement a committee in each district of the capital.
The DP has led the capital’s municipal council for the past 54 years, the party added - it was now time to put aside “neo-liberal and unsocial policies”, the Left concluded.
