The A3 motorway was closed at around 4.15pm to allow emergency services access to the incident. Fortunately no one was injured as a result of the fire. Authorities reopened one lane to traffic shortly after the incident.
Bettembourg and Dudelange fire fighters attended the scene.
Two cars collided on the A6 motorway between the Capellen exit and Bridel at 11am on Thursday, leaving one person with injuries.
