The estimated number of people cared for at home is 9,471, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%. The estimated average number of beneficiaries in aid and care facilities is 5,345 people, corresponding to a growth of 1.4%. Of those, 2,215 people are in care homes (+1.5%), 2,510 people in senior homes (+1.2%), and 620 people in temporary care facilities (+1.5%).
The CNS bases its insurance budget on an estimated GDP growth of 2.5% and employment growth of 3.4%, among other factors. The Fund expects to finish the year with a positive balance of €25.7 million and forecasts €35.9 million for 2023.
