The coalition between the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV) and the Democratic Party (DP) faces calls from the Climate Alliance to increase national targets for CO2 reduction. The existing aim of a 55% reduction by 2030, as outlined in the Climate and Energy Plan (PNEC), falls short, according to the Climate Alliance. To instigate meaningful change, emissions must be priced in a manner that serves as a deterrent, the Alliance contends.

In a bid to emphasise the gravity of climate protection, the Climate Alliance urges the government to categorise it as a primary responsibility for municipalities. This approach, they argue, should be a key focus at both regional and national levels.

One of the central demands put forth by the Climate Alliance is a swift transition to renewable energy sources, advocating for a 50% share by 2030. These propositions form part of a comprehensive set of recommendations presented by the Climate Alliance.
