The campaign "Become a Godparent to a Tree" was launched to support the conservation of the "Zäemerbësch", which is set to become the location of a new bypass road. Members of the committee are therefore gathering the financial means to fight the legal battle around the preservation of the protected zone.

Patrizia Arendt, secretary general of the committee, notes that the plans for the bypass were only accepted in the Chamber due to false data sets from environmental analyses. The citizens' action committee thus remains adamant about initiating legal steps once the draft project is published. The group is currently being supported by the "Mouvement Écologique Régionale Sud", "Youth for Climate", as well as "Natur an Ëmwelt Suessem".
