
Chris Rodesch won the final of the ATP tournament in Oeiras, Portugal, on Sunday afternoon. The Luxembourgish number one defeated Zsombor Piros in three sets (6-4, 4-6, 6-2). The Hungarian player is ranked 39 places higher in the world rankings (170).
Rodesch, ranked 209th in the world, staged a strong comeback in the third set. After three games, the right-hander was trailing 1-2, but then won the next five games to ultimately claim victory on the court. This is his second title in an ATP Challenger tournament after winning his first title in 2025 in Tallahassee, USA. The Oeiras tournament, which has been organised only since 2021, distributes a total of €145,000 in prize money.
